Want = Maybe? Last night, I had a first meeting with a very nice Chinese lady. Everything was going "swell" until she asked whether I like and whether or not I would want to father more than one. I didn't say "no," but said it would require thought so I was sure, going into a marriage, that I did. Both of us say "maybe" to on our profiles. MY "maybe" means I'm willing to consider it and more likely to agree to it if my "beloved" is seriously disposed in that direction. Unfortunately, her "maybe" must mean that not only MUST she have , but HER beloved must be every bit as driven, from the outset, as she. So, although we get along great, she's moving on. While I don't blame her for the way she feels, I hope she didn't act in haste, only to repent in leisure. When it first was published, I bought a copy of Men are from Mars; Women are from Venus. Maybe I should finally read it. |
