beautiful country Just finished a long drive from Vancouver to Calgary, 1000 kms. I did it straight when leaving from Calgary to Vancouver, but on the way back it took two days - after 10 days of construction work, I am beat and decide to take my time to enjoy the trip. Canada is such a beautiful country - the Rocky mountains, I can only use 'magnificant' to describe it. Cannot find any other words to express the feelings when looking at the mountains capped in snow on top and covered with lush green. It is my first time ever long distance drive - before it's always the man to drive. This time I did it alone. Spent 10 days in Vancouver to fix up a rental property - now I am a plumbing and drywall expert - well, need more practice but I know the theories at least. What are the accomplishments of this trip? Two things: 1) I don't need a handyman husband - if you pay someone, they will actually do what you ask them to do without argument!  2) When I put my mind to something, I can do what man can do - except need some more arm muscles. While driving at 140km/hr on the high mountain highway, I feel freedom from deep in my soul Someday I hope you all have a chance to see the Rockies in Canada. It is something very special. |
